We believe that neighborhoods are meant for families, not for businesses masquerading as neighbors. A home should be a place where children play safely, where neighbors know and trust each other, and where families can thrive in peace and stability.
Short-term rentals (STRs) disrupt this balance by turning houses into revolving doors for strangers, undermining the character of our neighborhoods, and eroding the values that make Orem Family City USA.
Homes Not Hotels means:
- Preserving the integrity, safety, and stability of residential neighborhoods.
- Protecting families from the noise, traffic, and risks associated with transient rentals.
- Ensuring that residential zoning is enforced so homes remain what they were intended to be—places for families, not commercial lodging.

At the Orem Neighborhood Preservation Alliance (OremNPA), we believe neighborhoods should remain safe, stable, and family-centered. Orem is known as Family City USA, and we are committed to protecting that legacy.
